Atlanta Coffee Shop Guide (by Sarah Deiters)

Atlanta Coffee Shop Guide

Whether you’re going on a coffee outing with your girls, grabbing a quick energy boost, or going to chill and study, Atlanta’s got some amazing cafes and coffeeshops. I’m such a fan of good coffee - and I run an instagram to put my favorite places on display (@sarahdlikescoffee if you want to check it out)!

Here’s a little run-down on my favorites in the Atlanta area:

On-Campus Caffeine Fix

Sometimes you just need to grab a quick coffee and get to work! Here are some of my on-campus favorites:

  1. Starbucks (in the CULC, West Village, or Tech Square near Scheller) - Pro tip! The West Village Starbucks takes meal swipes!

  2. Blue Donkey (in the Student Center)

  3. Highland Bakery (near Tech Tower)

  4. Grace House (an on-campus ministry that serves FREE COFFEE every Thursday! Located on 5th street near the Alpha Xi Delta house)

You’ll always find a sister who’s down to grab some coffee with you!

Walking Distance from Georgia Tech

No car? No problem! Some of my favorite Sunday mornings were spent studying and eating breakfast with my friends at nearby coffee shops.

  1. Dancing Goats Coffee Bar

  2. Starbucks Reserve/ Starbucks at the Standard (these are great study spots because they’re usually quieter than the on-campus Starbucks!)

  3. Caribou Coffee

  4. Octane Westside (off West campus)

Short Drive from Georgia Tech

If you’re looking to branch out from Midtown, here are some amazing coffee shops and cafes that are a short drive away!

  1. Land of a Thousand Hills (Midtown, Atlantic Station, or Roswell location)

  2. Urban Grind

  3. Chrome Yellow

  4. Aurora Coffee (Little Five Points)

  5. Busy’s Shave Ice and Coffee

  6. Momo Cafe (great tea too!)

  7. Crazy Love Coffeehouse (also have AMAZING waffles)

  8. Moonbird Coffee

  9. Crema Espresso Gourmet
