Vegan Spots in Atlanta (by Danielle Glickstein)

My Favorite Vegan Restaurants in Atlanta

Hey everyone, I’m Danielle! One of my favorite parts about living in Atlanta is the variety of restaurants to explore. And just because I’m vegan doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy it too!

While most anywhere in the city will accommodate requests, here are some of my favorite places near Georgia Tech’s campus that you HAVE to try!

For a special occasion!

Cafe Sunflower

It is my goal to try the entire menu by the time I graduate! I am more than halfway there and have always LOVED everything I try. If you go, you have to get a slice of cake!

Herban Fix

I love this place! Their chef, Wendy Chang, relocated to Atlanta from Taiwan and serves pan-Asian fusion cuisine, such as steamed buns with crispy soy duck and other delicious dishes!

R. Thomas Deluxe Grill

They are open 24 hours! Can’t say I’ve been past 10 pm but it’s on my Atlanta bucket list to get some sisters to come with me at 3 am. So many vegan options, including raw vegan options! I went on a bear buddy date here too - where older sisters go on “dates” with new members to get to know them better!

Blue India

Simply put, a wonderful Indian restaurant. They are super knowledgeable about plant-based eating and can help you veganize most dishes on the menu.

For brunch!

Cultivate Food and Coffee

Classic brunch favorites with the option to veganize. I love the vegan omelettes and french toast!

Upbeet

For when you want to feel healthy! They have a wide variety of grain bowls, salads, acai bowls, smoothies, and coffee drinks.

Cultured South

I listed this one under brunch because if you go on Sunday morning, you can do a yoga class from rotating local instructors and get a pint of homemade kombucha for only $10! I would also highly recommend their vegan cashew-cheese boards and kombucha floats with dairy-free gelato.

For a treat!

SluttyVegan ATL

They have a vegan po’ boy. Enough said.

Jeni’s

Being so close to campus, so many students love coming here for an ice-cream study break. They always have vegan options like the Dark Chocolate Truffle, Texas Sheet Cake, and Frose sorbet.

Plant Based Pizzeria

I first tried this when I doordashed a Philly Pizza with peppers, onions, mozzarella, sausage, and basil pizza sauce (all vegan, of course) to the Alpha Xi house last year while we were decorating for recruitment. Even non-vegan sisters loved it so that’s how you know it’s good!
